Privacy policy

SOSColombia is an independent, non-profit project verifying and publishing public information about the August 10, 2026 Colombia earthquake. No account or login is required to browse the site.

We never sell personal data to anyone, and never use it for advertising.

We only collect personal data when someone voluntarily submits it through the site's forms:

• "Suggest an aid point": the point's name and address, phone, type of aid, extra context, and, optionally, a contact detail (email or phone) so the submitter can be reached about the request.
• "Suggest a post" (community): the post's link, extra context, and, optionally, a contact detail from the submitter.
• The submitter's contact detail is never shown publicly — it's used only internally if a moderator needs to clarify something before publishing the submission.
• Aggregated, anonymous usage analytics (Vercel Analytics), to understand which pages get visited — it doesn't identify individuals or build personal profiles.
